May have to disagree with you there.

I never used lotions on my babies'. HOWEVER...I also didn't overbathe them either. Their particulars were cleaned with every diaper change and I washed their hands with mild soap every day. A daily bath for a baby is simply not necessary. I used the Mustela combo skin/hair cleanser for them. I would dilute it well, just a pea size drop for their hair, for example. I would also just put a small squirt in the water for the rest of their bodies. Both of my babies were breastfed and therefore seldom had diaper rash. When they did, I would use Aquafor after cleansing and really drying the area.

We now live in an area where the winters are dry and cold. My son, who is very fair, develops rashes. We put in a POE water softener system and his rashes decreased by about 80%. When his skin is dry, we us a borage oil lotion on his body and Dermalogica Barrier Repair on his face. They work wonderfully.
